Notes On Getting A Domain Name

Getting a domain name is always your first step in getting your online business up and going.

As time goes on and you build your business bigger and bigger you'll find yourself buying more of these domain names.

For instance with my business I have… which is my main site. which is a site I use to build my list, manage my affiliate links, etc. which is my support site.

And then I have about 500 more (yes seriously) that I've bought for various reasons.

Now most of you wont ever have that many, but you will probably have 10-20 as you do this or that online to build your business.

So I've started this post here on the blog to share tutorials with you about getting domain names, how to use them, and the like.

If you have questions about domain names make sure and leave them below. I'll answer them here and create any tutorials that you may need to learn from.

I look forward to helping you with all your domain name questions. 🙂

  • Hello Liz, only just joined your group and so far I’m enjoying the start to my journey. My question is related to EMD (Exact Match Domain) for SEO reasons. I’m able to get an EMD for .net but not for .com. Would the domain with EMD .net serve me as good as the .com without an EMD. Or does the EMD not have any bearing on SEO with Google any more?

    • Hey Greg! Not TOTALLY sure about that, but I DO believe .com always does better. I don’t do much SEO so that’s not something I can expertly answer for you. 🙁
